  • What did you do to your bike today?

I got the bodywork 'ready' to mount. It fits! Little drilling, little sanding left. Need some brackets for the uppers. Current model GSXR 1000 tail section/Duc 848 upper and lower/Suzuki-unknown fender. Exhaust system has been replaced. Subframe has been replaced. Tank bracket has been replaced. Lots of zip-tying of wires and junk in the tail. Cut out almost all of the battery tray.

Re: What did you do to your bike today?

Well since the round at VIR,

      * Sanded, repaired and painted the bodywork on the A and B bike. I was going to paint the 250 as well, but lacked the time. As it turns out, I painted when it was to hot out and F-ed the paint up. I will have to repaint everything.
      * Installed an Ohlins rear shock to the B-bike
      * Set the Geometry and the sag on the B-bike
      * Installed a steering Damper on the B-bike
      * Truckstop pinstriped both the bikes

Waiting on a powercommander for the B-bike.
We are at New Jersey this (fast) approaching weekend.

I also had to rebuild the exhaust can on the A-bike.

Re: What did you do to your bike today?

Attempted to figure out my no RPM gauge issue with my Translogic dash. Not sure what the hell I'm doing wrong. Fustrating to say the least. Everything else works great tho. Really like the dash.

also noticed when running new fluid on the clutch side, a little bit of fluid squirted up out of the rezi... Damn near got me in the eye. never seen that before, but I have heard it happens when left uncapped. Just never noticed it until now....seems really excessive. Anyone think it needs to be rebuilt or something??? Only happens when I pull the lever down about a inch before the lever has any pressure on it. Tried to show it in the vid below...

                  here is a vid:

the youtube vid should be live in 20m or so:

Stop pumping it and maybe it wont shoot you in the eye!!

The clutch on my superhawk does that.
I dont know that it would clear the rez, but it does look similar to yours when pumping it.

No worries Spoot. They are enjoying their visit with the other 7 in my garage. Motor and non motor 2 wheel fun.

Balanced the carbs on Stacy's street bike last night - dear lord they weren't even close...suprised it would even idle and pull - yes they were that far off....
