    Anyone else see this?

    https://powersports.honda.com/2019/c...cedesktop=true

I feel like this is finally the bike that many of us have been asking for from the Japanese for a long time!

    Street Legal
Real Motor, not some detuned POS
Real suspension, not some cheap crap
    FI
    6 Speed
    Electric Start
    Japanese reliability
289# full of fuel and oil

Boy oh Boy, my future is looking Red. Can't wait to see if the reviews are as good as it sounds!

Dyno numbers on the CRF450L are out. Looks kinda weak at around 37-38 hp for most publications. EPA regs must really be choking that thing. That's only 6 hp more than a bone stock DRZ 400, what the hell. Haven't seen any "full exhaust + tuner" uncorked numbers yet, so I suppose that will be the moment of truth. But If I don't see at least 50 hp, my opinion on this bike may change. If I have to change the oil every 600 miles, the bike better be breathing some fire. Otherwise it just doesn't make any sense.

There was an article in the current Cycle World (which I cancelled but my subscription has not run out yet) comparing 4 high end dual sports. Holy crap, the Beta 430RR... the thing is a beast. I can imagine what the Italian replacement parts cost though.

The more i read about that bike, the more i want it. I have not read a bad word about it from anyone who has ridden it. and many comments saying it needs virtually nothing.

The beauty of the 2019 Honda CRF450L is that it is legal and performs at a high-level on- and off-road in stock trim, something that no other dual-sport can claim and that is worth the wait.

Initial takes i am seeing on advrider (from people who actually have ridden it, not the KTM lovers who are bashing it but haven't ridden it) is that it is really really good, both off road and on.

With a pipe and a tune I bet it's low 50's. I'll check the used market in 2020 for people who made the horrible mistake of buying new.

Word is mid 40's HP for the US version. I suspect it is handcuffed for emissions and noise, so probably has plenty more with a bit of work.

I am hoping sales are shitty, and lots of left overs available in a year or so.

Yep, that is exactly what i was getting at. Of course we would all like every bike to be cheaper, but i just don't think it is realistic if it is truly set up like they make it sound. If you want a cheaper dual sport, there is a fist full of them from the Japanese companies, and most are pretty disappointing.
